پیامبر (ص) فرمود: الصلاة ... برکة فی الرّزق - نماز برکت در رزق و روزی می شود. امام صادق (ع) فرمود: کذب من زعم انه یصلی باللیل و هو یجوع ان صلاة اللیل تضمن رزق النهار - اگر کسی من نماز شب می خوانم و روز در گرسنگی به سر می برم، دروغ گفته است، زیرا که نماز شب ضامن روزی، روز است.
حضرت رسول اکرم (ص) فرمود: بدانید هیچ چیزی مؤمن را به خدا نزدیک نمی کند،
مگر آنکه نماز شب و تسبیح و تهلیل گفتن و استغفار و گریه های نیمه شب و
خواندن قرآن تا طلوع فجر و متصل نمودن نماز شب به نماز صبح، پس هر که چنین
باشد او را بشارت می دهم به فراوانی روزی که بدون رنج و زحمت و زور بازو
بدستش آید. روایت کرده شیخ مفید که: ان صلاة اللیل تدرالرزق (ویا) تجلب الرزق - نماز شب روزی را جلب کرده و زیاد می کند.
