جُنید بغدادى را - كه از مشایخ عرفان بود - در خواب دیدند و از وى پرسیدند: خداوند

گفت : تمام آن اشارات و رموز عرفانى از دست رفت و آن عبارات ، در هم ریخت و آن علوم از
دل ناپدید گشت و آن رسوم از هم پاشید و جز ركعت كوتاهى كه هنگام سحر به جا
آوردیم ، ما را چیز دیگرى سود نبخشید.(80)
امام صادق علیه السلام به سلیمان دیلمى فرمود:
اى سلیمان ! نماز شب را ترك نكن ، همانا زیانكار كسى است كه از نماز شب محروم
بماند.(81)
امام حسین علیه السلام و یارانش در شب عاشورا
در شرح حال امام حسین علیه السلام و یارانش - در شب عاشورا - چنین مى خوانیم :
آن شب ، صداى ناله و زمزمه و نیایش حسین و یارانش تا بامداد همچون آواى زنبور
عسل به گوش مى رسید، گروهى در ركوع بودند و برخى سجده مى كردند و دیگران
ایستاده و یا نشسته به عبادت سرگرم بودند.
آن شب سى و دو نفر از سربازان (عمر سعد) كه گذارشان به خیمه هاى امام حسین علیه
السلام افتاد تحت تأ ثیر این شور و حال قرار گرفتند.(82)
